The problem
A capable model is only one part of a dependable AI system.
Long-running work breaks down when conversations, project knowledge, tools, progress, open questions, and recovery are all handled separately. A useful local platform needs to know which work is active, what the person approved, what information matters, which model fits the available computer, what happened before an interruption, and which actions are allowed.
The platform
Give local models a foundation that can remember, continue, and grow.
Cerebral
Gives the person one place to work with local models, conversations, assigned roles, tools, questions, and focused modules.
Cortex
Preserves project knowledge and progress, restores work after interruption, and provides approved local capabilities.
Expandable resources
New specialist roles, tools, reference material, and modules can be added without rebuilding the entire platform.
What the person experiences
One place to continue the work, see progress, and stay in control.
- Projects and conversations can continue after an interruption without loading an entire history into every request.
- One local model can support distinct lead, helper, and summarization roles while their work remains separated.
- Important questions return to the person instead of being silently guessed.
- Long assignments are divided into clear stages with visible progress and recoverable state.
- Tools and local actions remain limited to what the current project and role are allowed to do.
Current module example
Pegasus Books applies the same foundation to long-form writing.
The Books module provides a workspace for planning a book, continuing it across sessions, assigning scene-sized work, and reviewing repetition, continuity, pacing, and audience fit. It shows how Cerebral can support a specialized kind of work without turning the entire platform into a writing-only product.
My role
Defined how the pieces should work together, then required the installed system to prove it.
Verified result
The platform has progressed beyond design into installed local operation.
Cerebral has completed real local-model work, structured tool use, stored conversation continuation, cancellation, and a bounded Books workflow. Cortex has separately exercised installation, continuity, typed local operations, and data preservation, and Cerebral has used the installed integration path.
Current stage
The installed local workflow is established, with distributed expansion following its own acceptance path.
Current work focuses on deepening local modules, role coordination, resource management, and Cortex-backed continuity. Remote accelerators and additional worker platforms can be added through the same explicit integration and acceptance model as those paths mature.
